Friday, February 27 - Yuk Yuk’s

YUK YUK'S

67 Simcoe St N, Oshawa (inside the Holiday Inn). 

Cost:10 or more people - $30.77 per person;

less than10 $32.48.

 Time 8:00 PM.


 This will be an evening of laughs and adventureheading down to Oshawa. 

John Mostyn is a Toronto based comedian hailing originally from Glasgow, Scotland. 

His storytelling and quick-witted fish-out of-water humour has had him likened to other Scottish comedy legends; Billy Connolly and Kevin Bridges. A charming, friendly, and hilarious stand up, he is always a crowd favourite. 


Over his 20 years, Paul Haywood has done it all from packed theaters of 1,000 people to 25 people in a man-cave garage. 


Marc Hallworth has been described as "too poor for how happy he is.” His Canadian Comedy Award-nominated sketch troupe, Vest of Friends, is the winner of the Best-of-the-Fest Award at both the Toronto and Montreal SketchFests.

Tuesday, March 10 - Scugog Public Library

Makerspace Tour and 3D Printer Workshop


Scugog Public Library - 

231 Water Street, Port Perry


Time: 5 pm start

 

Cost: $8.00 for tour materials


The Scugog Library boasts one of the best makerspaces in Durham, complete with a 3d printer,  laser cutter for plastics, wood or leather, heat press, Cricut cutter and mug press, 2 sewing machines, Mac computers and software and more. We did this tour last March but spaces are limited to 12-15 max so please only sign up if this is your first time. Join us to find out what creative projects you can start here..


To be followed by dinner at Marwan's Global Bistro - 187 Queen Street Port Perry ( approx 7pm)


An email will be sent out to all who have signed up ( in person or online) on Monday March 2nd asking you to confirm attendance at Dinner as the reservation will be firm with the restaurant on Wed. March 4th.

Scugog-Uxbridge Probus Club

Our meetings are held at Hope Church, 14480 Old Simcoe St., Port Perry   

General monthly meetings are held on the First Thursday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

 Our volunteers are what make our Club such a vibrant and interesting group.   Join  us as a volunteer and help make a difference in the lives of those we  serve. 

We offer a variety of opportunities to get involved, such as  helping set up the tables and chairs, making coffee, leading an interest  group, photographing, taking a position on our Management Team.
