National Canada Film Board Event
Hope Church, 14480 Old Simcoe Rd, Port Perry.
Cost $10.00.
Time 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Join us for a special viewing of two films:
Mambo Italiano – Angelo Barberini still lives at home with his traditional Italian parents, Gino and Maria. When Angelo decides to move out, his parents are shocked, believing that the only reason to leave home is to get married. Only a few people know the truth—his older sister Anna and his close friend Nino. As Angelo and Nino grow closer, their families become increasingly confused, leading to both heartfelt and humorous moments.
Peace by Chocolate (documentary) – This inspiring film tells the true story of the Hadhad family, Syrian refugees who rebuilt their chocolate business in Antigonish, Nova Scotia after fleeing war. Their journey highlights resilience, community support, and the power of hope.
Pizza will be available between the two movies for an additional cost.
